Why we built SchoolFit
We’re the parents behind SchoolFit, and before we built anything, we went through exactly the process this is meant to help with: choosing a secondary school for our own child.
It took far longer than it should have — reconciling school websites that all say something different, weighing forum opinions against league tables that don’t agree with each other, and trying to work out what actually mattered for our family rather than in general.
We built SchoolFit to be the tool we wished we’d had: a neutral, source-linked comparison built around your child, not a generic ranking.

We don’t rank schools for sale, and we never will. No sponsored placements, no pay-to-play listings — just a clear-eyed comparison of the realistic options for your family.
Source-linked
Every fact in a SchoolFit report links back to where it came from, with a date. If we can’t source something, we don’t print it — so you’re never just taking our word for it.
Personalised
Two families comparing the same schools can reasonably reach different conclusions. SchoolFit is built around your child’s needs, your commute and your budget — not a one-size-fits-all list.
